Our kanji is plain, with just jeera… don’t make it everyday, and I haven’t even made it this month at all… I am surprised the kids never asked! This sounds so delicious that I may just make it as dinner one day! Lovely share…
South Indian food is so different from its northern counterpart! Sounds filling and nutritious, just what you need in these long and hot days of fasting 🙂
Mutton kanji is from my Ramadan memories too as it is one of those dishes which are prepared only i this month. Your kanji looks perfect with right consistency. And it is such a comfort food.
Oh! this is exactly what we get from the mosque every day minus the mutton. But they do add minced mutton on the 27th day of Ramadan and it is so yum!!! I have been wanting to recreate it for long- will wait for the summer to die and I am going to come back here as this sounds so much like the one I used to have! Muah!
